In July, ROM Assistant Curator Dr. Kevin Seymour offered an enthusiastic group of 25 ROM members a guided tour of the famous fossil site at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto’s Don Valley. Beautiful weather was the order of the day (after days of rain), giving all participants an enjoyable if somewhat muddy outing.
Recently we had a visit from Karla Courtney and her son Marshall who run an internationally awarded blog, The [Tiny} Times (www.tinytimes.com).
The landmark exhibit “Genesis” just closed at the Royal Ontario Museum. An “Activation Area” in the exhibit invited visitors to engage with issues at a personal level...
Following an extensive international search, the Museum has hired Dr. Xerxes Mazda as Deputy Director, Engagement.
During the intense light of a summer afternoon a group of determined photographers particapated in the Neighbourhood Nature Watch, hosted by the ROM.
This week the ROM and Make-A-Wish Canada teamed up to help grant Damien—who has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia—his wish to be a paleontologist for a day and work alongside curators behind the scenes. T
