Post-secondary Internships

When current opportunities are available, the Learning Department at the ROM is pleased to accept interns from post-secondary programs in Education, Museum Studies, or other related fields. Interns can work to support School Visits, Travelling Programs, or the Hands-on Galleries.

High School Co-op Placements

If you are a high school teacher interested in a co-op placement for your students at the ROM, please e-mail your inquiry to the Learning Department at with the following information:

School Name, School Board, and Location 
Age, Grade, and Number of Students 
Subject Area and Course of Study 
Duration of Placement
Student’s resumé 
Student statement – "Why I want to do a placement at the ROM and what I hope to get out of a co-op placement at the ROM."

Based on this information, the Learning Department will determine the appropriate department to direct your inquiry. Please be aware that we will only contact interested applicants if there is a placement available that matches your needs.

Please note the following for placements in the Learning Department:

Winter (2018):

  • Applications due November 24, 2017.
  • Interviews will take place the week of December 4.

Fall semester (2018) and full year (2018-2019):

  • Applications due May 18, 2018.
  • Interviews will take place the week of May 28.
