Art Moves

Grab your canvas, put on your smock, and prepare your paint brushes as we art-venture around the world! Join the Curator of Islamic Art and Culture, Dr. Fahmida Suleman, and develop your creative skills as we analyze the principles of art and investigate the ancient origins and intricate history of writing. We will learn about how colours, patterns, and shapes have been used in artistic expression throughout time and explore the ways meaning is created and portrayed in various artforms. Then, find out how art has been used in storytelling, performance, and protest throughout history and still today. Be moved by magnificent masterpieces of the past and captivating creations of the present, and gain inspiration for your own magnum opus. Go on a creative escapade and tour the art around your city or get crafty and work on your skills at home.
