Maayan is one of nine cast members in a new play by Judith Thompson, BORNE, produced by RARE Theatre Company in association with Soulpepper running in July 2014. Nine performers who use wheelchairs tell their own hilarious and heart-breaking stories in their own words, exploding the myths and preconceptions about living with a disability.

Her work has been featured on television, galleries and magazines, including “Kids Who Can” by PhotoSensitive in partnership with Easter Seals Ontario presented by Canon at the Brookfield Place – a photo and video exhibition showcasing children with disabilities who go to camp.

Her daily goal is to bring awareness to disabilities and the arts. Her work has been recognized with a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.
