Felix

FELIX

You are Felix, a slave who was a cook in a wealthy Pompeian household. You and your son were bought by the same owner, but your son now works on the owner's huge farming estate in the Campanian countryside.

You stayed at your duties until the rainfall of debris became too heavy too ignore. But you'd left it too late to make a successful escape. As you ran into the street in the early hours of the morning, you were buried in ash during the second phase of the eruption when pyroclastic surges of poisonous gas and debris swept through the city. Around two thirds of the deaths in Pompeii during the eruption happened in this way.
