Discovery of one of the least known ecosystems of the Canadian Arctic

The Canadian Arctic form 10% of the coastline of the world and many ecosystems still need to be described scientifically. The benthic animals and algae, which means animals living in close relationship with the seafloor are a very important part of the marine ecosystems of the Arctic. During this presentation, we are going to explore their diversity and their role in the marine realm and how important some physical (ship wreck, such the Erebus) and biological (cold coral) structures could be for their development and survival.
