The Family Dino Lounge is an under 5 family lounge that provides a quiet space for families to rest, nurse, change diapers and play! Select episodes of the popular Dino Dan will also be screened.

Canada at Play Exhibit
Currelly Gallery, Level 1
Transport your family back in time with the Canada at Play pop-up exhibit. Only at the ROM during this holiday season, the exhibition takes a look at Canada’s favourite games and toys over the past 130 years. Visitors will learn about the history and traditions of beloved winter pastimes such as skating, tobogganing, and hockey.

Gather ‘round for one of the oldest family traditions there is….storytelling! Runs 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
Earth Rangers Wild Journey
Theatre, Level B1
Friday, December 27, 2013 to Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:00 PM*
*Final show on January 5th at 4:30 pm
Join Earth Rangers’ Wildlife Biologists and Trainers along with their Animal Ambassadors and learn about the importance of protecting endangered animals and the habitats they need in order to survive. The show takes audiences on a trip around the world to meet and celebrate some of the planet’s most amazing creatures. Shows run approximately 20 minutes.
The Earth Rangers will also host a meet and greet with one of their Animal Ambassadors at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, everyday, in the Currelly Gallery on Level 1.

Winter Wonderland in the Earth Rangers Studio
Life in Crisis: Schad Gallery of Biodiversity, Level 2
Join us as we transform our Earth Rangers Studio into an Ontario Winter Wonderland! Visitors can come and learn to identify animal tracks and participate in a photography challenge, all while discovering more about Canadian wildlife’s adaptations for surviving our notorious winters.

Hands-on Biodiversity and Discovery Galleries
Where else can you explore a dark and mysterious bat cave, become a mediaeval knight, or dig for dinosaur bones? Kids love the hands-on and dress-up activities in the Hands-on Biodiversity and Discovery Galleries.
You can also meet staff from Bird Studies Canada! Discover the different types of birds that gather together in winter, learn how you can create your own bird gatherings.
