The Lassonde Art Trail (LAT) is a series of interconnected public art sites that weave through 4.2km of paths in Biidaasige Park on Toronto’s waterfront. Launched in Summer 2026, the Art Trail includes new permanent and temporary artworks that respond to the site’s layered histories, geographies, and changing social dynamics. These include Indigenous contexts; the city and lake; civic society and the public realm; waterways past and present; industrial histories; wetland restoration and bioengineering; native plantings and local ecosystems; and the environment and sustainability.
Join us in welcoming Lassonde Art Trail artists to ROM to discuss their work, the importance of public art, and the inspiration for their sculptures on the Art Trail. The artists presenting in this series have created artworks that include themes and references reflected in the research and collectionsat ROM.
