Découvrez Toronto en participant aux pROMenades, une série de visites guidées à pied qui emmènent les participants à la découverte de la ville.
Ces visites guidées sont programmées chaque année de mai à octobre, beau temps mauvais temps, et englobent diverses facettes de quartiers dynamiques, et sont menées avec l’expertise de guides compétents dans le cadre d’une aventure urbaine et d’apprentissage. Il y a de nombreux quartiers à découvrir, chacun ayant leur propre histoire, notamment sur les gens, l’architecture, les arts de toute sorte et bien plus encore.
Les pROMenades gratuites, Les pROMenades Plus et les pROMenades pour les groupes en privé sont offertes au grand public. Des pROMenades sont aussi organisées en exclusivité pour les Membres du ROM. Chaque année, des pROMenades gratuites sont également offertes en français. Veuillez-vous référer à la brochure pour plus de renseignements.
Les pROMenades gratuites ne nécessitent aucune inscription et ont lieu le dimanche à 14 h et le mercredi à 18 h. Il suffit de se présenter au point de rendez-vous d’une promenade et de chercher le parapluie du ROM.
Les pROMenades Plus sont destinées aux petits groupes afin de présenter des itinéraires nouvellement développés. Ces visites sont offertes certains dimanches à 14 h. Le coût est de 15 $ par personne et nécessitent une préinscription.
Les pROMenades pour les groupes privés sont parfaites pour les clubs sociaux, les groupes communautaires, les touristes de l’extérieur, ou les grands rassemblements d’amis et de membres d’une famille. Ces promenades peuvent être programmées à tout moment selon les disponibilités. Le coût de participation est de 15 $ par personne, avec un minimum de 150 $ par groupe.
Les pROMenades réservées aux Membres du ROM sont gratuites, nécessitent une inscription et sont programmées le samedi. Les Membres sont informés par courriel des prochaines dates de promenades exclusives et des modalités d’inscription.

Organisées par le Service des bénévoles du ROM, les pROMenades ont débuté en 1980 en tant que programme de sensibilisation pour le Musée quand il était fermé pour cause de rénovations. Le programme s’est développé au fil des ans, avec des dizaines d’itinéraires, des promenades gratuites programmées de façon régulière pendant six mois et un nombre croissant de participants très satisfaits.

ROMWALK TYPES
Free ROMWalks are welcoming, guided neighbourhood walks open to everyone - no registration is required. Just arrive at the appointed time and location, meet the guides, and encounter Toronto through stories, places, and people.
- Free and open to the public
- No registration required for free ROMWalks
- Held weekly Sundays at 2:00 pm and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm
- Walks run rain or shine. In extreme weather, Walks may be cancelled. Check the website or social media for updates
- Each walk is typically under 2 hours
- Each walk has a designated starting point listed in the walk description - look for the ROMWalks blue umbrella
- Some tour dates are offered in English and French (where indicated)
- Includes 36 Free Walks each season that are open to everyone with no registration required
- Other specialized Walk options, e.g., Plus Walks, Private Group Walks are ticketed
- Wear comfortable shoes, dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle
- ROMWalks are led by passionate, experienced Museum volunteer guides with expertise in Toronto's many attributes
- Walks are mainly offered in English. On certain dates, Free Walks are also available in French (see our 2026 ROMWalks Brochure for more information)
ROMWalks Plus offers ticketed, small-group walks featuring new or not-yet-released walk itineraries, led by the program's most experienced guides. Space is limited on these walks. Call 416 586 5797 to purchase your Plus walk tickets.

Plus Walks Available
University Avenue: War, Peace, and Art - Learn what the memorials tell us about everyday citizens who have been involved in the great dramas of 20-century history.
Moore Park - Take a walk through one of Toronto's earliest suburbs, called a peaceful country retreat, and learn of its explosive growth and lasting residential charm.
Member Exclusive Walks are free, specially curated ROMWalks available only to ROM Members. Each walk offers unique themes and requires advance registration. Register on the Member Events page.

Member Exclusive Walks Available
Citadels of Wealth - Considered the heart of Canada's financial industry, Toronto's Financial District is home to banking and commerce icons, and the buildings that they built here are beautiful and architecturally significant. Join us and learn more about the district's history through its changing architectural styles.
Necropolis - This "City of the Dead" is Toronto's oldest cemetery. Opened to all religious faiths, many of Toronto's earliest residents have found their final resting place here. As we walk, we'll encounter founding fathers, rebels, war veterans, pioneers, and world champions. This place is historic!
Private Groups Walks let your group see Toronto with a dedicated ROMWalks guide on a date/time that works for you. Choose from a wide range of neighbourhood walks and tailor the experience to your interests.

- $15 per person; minimum charge $150 (for groups with fewer than 10 participants)

- Choose from 25 unique walks across Toronto neighbourhoods
- Walks can be customized and tailored to group interests and needs
- Typically under 2 hours in length but can be tailored to suit your group
- Walks run rain or shine
- Best suited for small to medium groups. While there is no strict maximum, larger groups may need more complex arrangements.
- Ideal for clubs, corporate groups, community groups, friends/family

- Currently, Private Group Walks are offered in English, with select walks offered in French

Complete the ROMWalk Group Visit Form. Simply specify which of the 25 unique walks you're interested in, and we'll help schedule a date and time that works for your group. In addition to the scheduled walks (Free, Plus, Member Exclusive), the following walks are also available.
