Group chaperones are an important part of a visit to the Museum. It’s important that chaperones have the support they need to supervise students and help them connect their learning at the museum to what they have been learning in class.
This Chaperone Guide will provide chaperones with:
• the essential information they need for the visit
• the Museum Guidelines
• chaperone expectations
• tips to help chaperones engage with students
• a space for their own notes
Preparation
- the date of your visit
- names of the teacher or teachers leading the trip
- a contact phone number chaperones can call if necessary.
- the name and time of the guided lesson or lessons you have booked (if applicable)
- the lunch time field will be provided by the School Visits Group Organizer on-site. Leave this field blank for now.
- your departure time from the Museum.
- the Learning Goals for your students while at the museum
the students assigned to each teacher and chaperone.
