Weekend and groups outside of Ontario and Canada should book through Group Sales.

Rates

The following Teacher/Adult Supervisor to Student ratios reflect the number of adults admitted for free and the adult supervision required in the galleries at all times.

Grades K-3:  1 teacher/adult supervisor: 5 students
Grades 4-8:  1 teacher/adult supervisor: 10 students
Grades 9-12, Post-Secondary and Adult ESL:  1 teacher/adult supervisor: 15 students

Teacher Programs

$16  - Half day (maximum 2 hrs)

$24 - Full day (maximum 4 hours)

* Self-guided visits include the ROM Galleries only; they do not include special exhibitions. All Guided Visits and Special Exhibition Programs include self-guided time in the ROM Galleries at no extra charge.

Booking Requirements

  • Guided visits must be booked no less than 10 business days prior to visit date

  • Self-guided visits must be booked no less than two business days prior to visit date.

Payment

Guided Visits booked less than 10 business days before the visit date require a non-refundable deposit no later than 2 business days after booking is made and no less than 2 business days prior to visit date for 15 students per class. 

Self-guided visits booked less than 10 business days before the visit date require a non-refundable deposit of $120 no later than 2 business days after booking is made and no less than 2 business days prior to visit date.

Full payment for all visits is required on arrival.  We accept payment by credit card, debit, cash, or cheque payable to "Royal Ontario Museum". A receipt will be issued upon full payment.

NOTE:

  • There is a minimum charge for 15 students per group.

  • A support person accompanying a student with a disability will be admitted free.

  • All Guided Visits include self-guided time in the ROM Galleries at no extra charge.  Does not include special exhibitions.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be e-mailed no later than 10 business days before visit date to schoolv@rom.on.ca.  Failure to confirm your reservation is not considered a cancellation.
Cancellations received after this period will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to the 15 student minimum charge per group. 
If you are cancelling multiple reservations, please cancel them individually by responding to each reservation e-mail, or send a separate e-mail listing all the reservation numbers.

Education at the ROM aims to be fully accessible to all participants and we can offer a variety of communication supports and accessible formats upon request.  To request communication supports and/or accommodations to meet your students' learning needs, please email schoolv@rom.on.ca or call 416.586.5801 x1 at least three weeks in advance to ensure sufficient time for our staff to meet your request.
