Gardiner Museum Discounts

Royal BC Museum Discount

Members save 15% on daily admission rates to the Royal BC Museum. Members must present their valid ROM membership card (digital or physical) and valid photo ID at the box office to receive a discount.

Receive a 20% discount on daily admission rates (excludes family admission rates). There is only one admission discount per membership card. Discount is not valid for online purchases, on programs, or special events and cannot be combined with any other offer.

Canadian Museum of Nature, Ottawa, Ontario
Receive free general admission only. Does not include discounts offered to Canadian Museum of Nature members, surcharged exhibitions or experiences, or 3D Theatre.

Museum Alliance Reciprocal Program (MARP)

Available to Director's Circle, Patrons Circle, Corporate, and Royal Exhibition Circle Members.

Qualifying ROM Members can enjoy reciprocal membership benefits at approximately 40 museums and art galleries across North America. Members of the participating institutions who qualify to participate in the Reciprocal Membership Program are entitled to the following benefits upon presentation of a specially marked membership card (digital or physical) and ID.  To prepare for your visit, please refer to the attached listing or contact the museum or gallery you plan to visit to confirm all restrictions.

  • Free general admission is offered to members of the participating institutions. Guest privileges may be excluded.
  • Admission to member previews as offered to the members of participating institutions unless specifically restricted by host institutions.
  • Admission to special exhibitions as offered to the members of participating institutions unless specifically restricted by host institutions.

Restrictions for participating institution's members visiting the ROM:

  • MARP privileges do not extend to members of institutions in Ontario within a 150 km radius.
  • Free ROM general admission does not apply to member guests of participating institutions. Presentation of a specially marked membership card (digital or physical) and ID are required.
  • Reciprocal privileges do not include mailings from any of the participating institutions.
  • ROM reciprocal benefits do not apply to ticketed events, lectures, or special events, discounts in ROM Boutique or restaurant, free Member coat check, or other exclusive benefits.

Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM)

Available to Director's Circle, Patrons Circle, Corporate, and Royal Exhibition Circle Members.

Qualifying ROM Members can enjoy reciprocal membership benefits at just over 500 museums and art galleries across North America. Benefits typically include free general admission and discounts in the museum stores plus other benefits although each institution has the option of restricting certain benefits. To prepare for your visit, please refer to the list in the link below or contact the museum or gallery you plan to visit to confirm all restrictions. A valid specially marked membership card (digital or physical) and ID are required.

  • Pay the host institution’s member general admission price for at least two members, plus any additional guests at the discretion of the host institution.
  • Access to member-only events and lectures unless specifically restricted by the host institution.
  • On-the-premise discounts at the host institution’s shop as offered to members of the participating museum.
  • Member pricing for special events, lectures, and exhibitions unless specifically restricted by the host institution.
  • Reciprocal privileges do not include mailings from any of the participating museums.

Restrictions for participating institution's members visiting the ROM:

  • ROAM privileges do not extend to members of institutions in Ontario.
