A Full Day of Family Fun devoted to Polish Culture and Heritage

Bring the whole family out for a day of fun to learn about and celebrate Polish culture and heritage at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). Polish Heritage Day takes place at the ROM on Saturday November 24, 2012 - a day full of live performances, children’s hands-on activities, shopping, dining, and much more.

The day’s line-up includes:

Polish-Themed Arts & Crafts

Hands-on activities for kids – 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

Main Stage Performances

Live music and dance -                10:30 am to 1:00 pm

Piano Recitals

Highlighting Polish composers - 1:00 to 5:00 pm 

Music in the Galleries

Polish choral performances – 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Warsaw Past and Present -

10:00 am to 4:00 pm & 2:00 pm Film Screening

Themed Shopping

Polish-themed items for sale in the ROM

Special Exhibitions

The celebration will feature two special exhibitions at the ROM for one day only.  A selection of objects from the Polish Kashub Heritage Museum in Wilno, Ontario will be on display from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm in Canada Court. In celebration of 61 Canadians of Polish origin that have made significant contributions to politics, culture, science, and community work, join us for the Polish Spirit Exhibition from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Polish Heritage Day programming is included with Museum admission.
