Bio

Jodi Zhang manages provenance research across the Art and Culture collection areas at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). She supports provenance due diligence for new acquisitions and loans and coordinates research into ROM’s historic collections. After completing her Hon.B.A. and Juris Doctor at the University of Toronto, Jodi worked in the legal profession in Toronto, in both litigation and advisory roles for individual and corporate clients. She later completed a Master’s degree in Classical Archaeology at the University of Oxford and worked in the museum sector in the UK before returning to Toronto. Drawing on her combined experience of legal and museum practice, Jodi approaches provenance work with an emphasis on rigorous analysis, ethical stewardship, and public accountability.
