À propos

Discover the mosaic of Tunisia with ROMTravel on a 14-day immersive journey through coastal towns, desert villages, and the stunning archaeological sites of ancient civilizations, including visits to eight UNESCO-listed sites.

Begin in Tunisia’s coastal capital city of Tunis, where you meet your National Guide and Local Expert Omar Khochkach. You also travel with Resource Person Zena Kamash who will share her passion and knowledge of the significant and spectacular Roman archaeology, art, and extraordinary mosaics found here.

The itinerary takes you inland through the rolling hills and fertile plains of northern Tunisia to explore well-preserved archaeological sites and the holy city of Kairouan. Explore coastal towns and ports, ancient Islamic ribats (forts) and vibrant medinas. Discover Djerba Island, the Amazigh mountain, and desert villages found in southern Tunisia.

Before returning to Tunis, visit the Amphitheatre of El Djem, one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world. Once back in the capital, spend the last few days exploring Tunis’ medina, local Roman sites, and the splendid Bardo National Museum, which houses one of the largest collections of Roman mosaics in the world.

Throughout your journey, meaningful interactions, expert-led lectures, and thoughtfully chosen accommodations will create an enriching experience, offering insight into Tunisia’s fascinating mix of history and cultures.

This trip involves a considerable amount of walking, often on uneven surfaces and slopes.
