À propos

Have you ever wondered how to get the most out of your photography while watching your local feathered friends?

Learn how to make stronger bird photographs close to home. Led by photographer Ankur Khurana, this half-day, classroom-based workshop will explore practical approaches to photographing local birds, from camera settings and composition to working with light, behaviour, and distance.  After the classroom session, participants will have the opportunity to practise their skills outdoors with some of the birds found around ROM.

Participants will receive a copy of ROM’s Field Guide to the Birds of Ontario to keep or gift as part of your registration.

This program is suitable for participants ages 16 and above.

Note: This workshop will visit outdoor environments within a 10-minute walk from ROM to practice your skills. Participants should come prepared for rain or shine.

Recommended Equipment

Participants are encouraged to bring a DSLR or mirrorless camera, ideally with a telephoto lens, to maximize their practical experience. Participants with smartphone cameras only are also welcome.
