About

Where Toronto's stories come to life - One step at a time

Each year from May to October, ROMWalks offers a collection of guided tours that provide unique city insights, while taking you on a journey of urban encounters. Each vibrant neighbourhood has its own story to tell, and ROMWalks tours reveal them, bringing life to the distinctive charm of Toronto's history, it's diverse communities, stunning architecture, thriving arts scene, and so much more.

Organized by ROM's Department of Museum Volunteers, ROMWalks was introduced in 1980 as an outreach program. It has grown over the years, with each year now offering dozens of walk itineraries, six months of regularly scheduled Free Walks, and a growing number of extremely satisfied, and often repeat, walkers.

Uncover the culture, history, beauty, and charm of Toronto's many vibrant neighbourhoods with ROMWalks. Whether you're a local or visiting, ROMWalks offers an unforgettable way to connect with the heart and soul of the city.
