Payment and Transaction Requirements
- You agree to pay all charges incurred by you or any user of your account or payment method at the price(s) in effect at the time of purchase, including all applicable taxes.
- You may only use payment methods that belong to you or that you are expressly authorized to use.
- You may not attempt to conceal your identity, including by using multiple IP addresses or email accounts, when conducting transactions on the Site.
- You are responsible for ensuring your transactions comply with all applicable laws.
- If we cannot verify or authenticate information provided during any part of the ordering, payment, or account process, or if we can no longer authorize your payment method, the ROM may cancel tickets, refuse purchases, or restrict access.
- All prices are in Canadian dollars and may change without notice.
Ticket Validity and Use
- Tickets are valid only for the admission category, date, and time selected and may be used once only.
- Tickets cannot be resold, exchanged, refunded, or transferred.
- Proof of purchase, photo identification, or the payment card used may be required.
- Late arrivals may be accommodated at the ROM’s discretion but are not guaranteed.
- Tickets purchased from unauthorized sellers or resale sites may be invalid.
Museum Rules and Visitor Conduct
- All visitors are subject to the ROM’s Code of Conduct.
- Failure to comply may result in removal from the Museum without refund.
Programming and Operational Changes
- The ROM may modify programs, close galleries, change operating hours, or alter exhibitions without notice.
- Refunds may be offered only in the event of a full museum closure initiated by the ROM.
- Partial closures or programming changes do not qualify for refunds.
Privacy

Accuracy of Information
- You agree that all information provided during purchase or account creation is accurate, complete, and current.
Copyright
Materials on this website were produced and/or compiled by the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) for the purposes of providing the public with information about ROM’s programs and services and to further ROM’s mandate to communicate to the public humanity’s cultural and natural history. The term “materials” includes all or any information, artwork, text, video, audio, animation or image files.
Copyright in such materials remains with the Royal Ontario Museum and other copyright owners. The materials are protected by the Canadian Copyright Act, and the regulations thereunder, and by similar laws in other countries.
Materials available on this website were produced and/or compiled by ROM with the intent that they be readily available as per fair dealing in the Canadian Copyright Act for research, private study, education, parody, satire, criticism, review and news reporting only.
Users accessing Materials for the purposes of criticism, review or news reporting are required to acknowledge the source of the material and author’s name if known. The source citations should include the URL rom.on.ca. Users must adhere to any additional terms and restrictions that may appear on individual pages of the website.

Images in ROM Online Collection
ROM is in the process of digitizing its collection, and images on this website are being updated regularly. We have chosen to post all available images until new photography becomes available. Some of the images are not suitable for publication and are not available as a high resolution image file.
