Free with general admission, ROM offers daily public tours led by trained Museum Docents and Guides du ROM. Each engaging tour provides insights into the collections, from highlights of the Museum to focused gallery adventures. No reservations are required—just check the daily schedule when you arrive at the Museum and join the tour of your choice, covering museum highlights or focused gallery adventures. It’s an easy way to discover the stories behind the objects. Important Schedule Note Tour schedules may vary. We recommend confirming the day’s listings at the Museum.

Where Toronto's stories come to life - One step at a time Each year from May to October, ROMWalks offers a collection of guided tours that provide unique city insights, while taking you on a journey of urban encounters. Each vibrant neighbourhood has its own story to tell, and ROMWalks tours reveal them, bringing life to the distinctive charm of Toronto's history, it's diverse communities, stunning architecture, thriving arts scene, and so much more. ROMWalks Plus
ROMWalks Plus are guided walking tours of Toronto organized by the Royal Ontario Museum’s Department of Museum Volunteers to provide support for the Museum. The tours started in 1980 as an outreach program for the ROM when it was closed for renovations. ROMWalks encompass the diverse aspects of Toronto's vibrant neighbourhoods including history, architecture, arts of all varieties, education , and more. Hike the ROM
FREE WITH ADMISSION. Forget malls and slippery sidewalks. Hike the ROM Trails are a fun and engaging way to exercise both your body and your mind inside our spacious galleries, away from inclement weather. Offered seasonally during the cold, grey days of winter and early spring, Hike the ROM reveals objects in an unexpected, step-generating way as you walk through three floors of gallery spaces, at the speed you like. Our Map Guides will help you plan your next visit to ROM.
Stop by the Information Desk in Currelly Gallery, just south of the Futalognkosaurus (the BIG dinosaur just inside the main entry) where our volunteer Visitor Guides will be happy to offer map guides, brochures, directions, and suggestions.
Our volunteer Docents and Guides du ROM are also offering tours of the Museum in English and French. It is an excellent way to discover ROM's collections. Our Visitor Guides at the Information Desk will be happy to provide details on tours.
