Celebrating the ROM’s 100th anniversary brings to mind many memories of my time spent at the Museum in the 1940’s.
1933 - 1968
Sylvia Hahn, an artist on staff, completed four murals in what was then the Armour Court. Displays of armour were a popular museum feature.
J. H. Fleming dies. He has had office space at the ROM since the 20s, when he willed his ornithological collection to the Museum.
Most of our domestic dogs came from Toronto families, but Bungy had a different background. (See also "Curator's Work")
This story comes from Elvira Hamilton, who joined the ROM in 1913 and was a staff member for 48 years.
