So in my project to recreate the equipment of a 3rd century Roman soldier from Dura-Europos, following the creation of the sword, I next moved on to the dagger. Little seems to be known about the daggers used by soldiers in the Roman World of the 3rd century AD.

The Ontario Road Ecology Group (OREG) has been working to protect biodiversity from the threats of roads through research, policy and stewardship initiatives with our partners.  The Heart Lake Road in Brampton cuts through protected wetland complexes, and OREG has been there to help.

Currently on display in the Herman Herzog Levy Gallery from May 18, 2013 to February 23, 2014 is the exhibition Faces to Remember: Chinese Portraits of the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368 – 1911).  Located on Level 1 of the ROM’s Philosophers’ Walk building, the Levy Gallery is the Museum's main venue for its diverse slate of rotating East Asian exhibitions - themed displays drawn from the ROM’s vast collections of Chinese, Japanese and Korean artifacts.
