The Game Changer Series: Linking Art & Science

What do North American Black flies and visual culture of South Asia have in common?

Join our newest conversation, the Game Changer Series, where the ROM invites you to explore the connections between the different worlds of art and science through an interactive dialogue with leading authorities from the ROM and beyond.

Our inaugural Game Changer features two ROM curators with seemingly very different reseach programs:

Dr. Deepali Dewan, Senior Curator, South Asian Arts and Culture

and

Dr. Doug Currie, Senior Curator, Entomology

You decide: what's the common ground?

Agenda:

  • Introductions, ground rules
  • The quick and dirty on the current research focus from each of our esteemed guests (15 minutes each)
  • Humorous banter between moderators, hints
  • A connection, we hope!

Inspired by the themes set forth in the GENESIS exhibition.

The evening will be hosted and moderated by Dave Ireland, Managing Director, ROM Biodiversity and Neil Osborne, Director, Environmental Visual Communications Program at Fleming College.

Light refreshments and cash bar
