Curators' Corner: ROM Photographers of the Year

Numerous red and black grasshopper nymphs congregate on a large, green leaf.
The above photo, taken by ROM Senior Curator of Entomology Dr. Christopher Darling, won the People's Choice Award for last year's ROM Photographers of the Year.

Inspired by the incredible photography on display in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, this very special edition of Curators’ Corner on Sunday, November 23 will celebrate wildlife and landscape photos taken by ROM staff in the field. Every year, ROM researchers travel all over the globe to explore, discover, and study the marvels of the world around us. For this event, staff from across the Museum are coming together to share a selection of their photographs, along with specimens and stories, from the field.

We want YOU to choose your favourite photograph and vote for the ROM Photographer of the Year! Check out all the photos on the ROM’s Facebook page in early November, and vote by clicking “Like” on your favourite photo. Join us on November 23 for this rare opportunity to see nature and culture through the eyes of our staff as they cross continents to explore the world we live in.

This program is FREE with Museum admisson.
