Celebrating the the art of wildlife photography

Inspired by the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year, the Ontario-wide ROM Wildlife Photo Contest returned once again, inviting photographers of all skill levels to share the breathtaking beauty of our natural world. A special thanks to incredible prizes generously provided by our friends at Henry’s!

From November 8, 2025, to February 8, 2026, we welcomed submissions from both amateur and professional photographers, encouraging them to showcase their most captivating wildlife and nature images on Instagram. Entrants participated by using the hashtags #ROMwpyON (open category) and #ROMwpyJR (for young photographers aged 13 to 17).

This year’s contest featured an outstanding variety of entries, each offering a unique glimpse into the wonders of the natural world. Our esteemed panel of judges had the exciting challenge of reviewing these remarkable entries.

Paul Eekhoff – Senior Photographer, Royal Ontario Museum
David Coulson – Conservation Photojournalist
Vincent Luk – Co-founder, Hello Foto Inc.

We extend our warmest congratulations to all participants for sharing their remarkable talent and passion for wildlife photography. A heartfelt thank you to our judges and contest supporters, and especially to Henry’s for their generous support in helping us celebrate and showcase extraordinary photography. We look forward to continuing to capture and share the wonders of the natural world—see you next year!
