About
Shake off the grey chill of winter with a colourful, curated excursion to the Royal Botanical Gardens’ floral showcase, Bloomland in Oz.
Inspired by The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, you’ll follow a Yellow Brick Road surrounded by imaginative botanical displays, artistic installations, and more than 25,000 garden-fresh blooms — bringing the vibrant magic of Oz to spectacular life.
The day’s visit begins with an exclusive talk by Dr. David Galbraith, Director of Science at the Royal Botanical Gardens. His fascinating insights into the Gardens’ conservation, cultural heritage, and artistic initiatives will help prepare for the infusion of colour to follow. After the talk, continue with a self-guided stroll through Of Wonders Wild and New, a contemporary woodworking art exhibition where international artists explore nature, the environment, and the beauty of wood, all through the lens of Oz.
A delightful lunch and traditional Bloomland Enchanted Afternoon Tea follow at the charming Tea House at Turner Pavilion, followed by time to take in Bloomland in Oz and its lush, Emerald City–inspired displays at your leisure. Taking photos to capture the day is a must, as is a browse through The Garden Shop’s selection of artisanal gifts at the end of the day.
Book early and join us for an extraordinary day of colourful beauty, wonder, and imagination—an unforgettable journey guaranteed to lift the spirit, delight the senses, and awaken your sense of magic.
