Hike the ROM

FREE WITH ADMISSION. Forget malls and slippery sidewalks. Hike the ROM Trails are a fun and engaging way to exercise both your body and your mind inside our spacious galleries, away from inclement weather. Offered seasonally during the cold, grey days of winter and early spring, Hike the ROM reveals objects in an unexpected, step-generating way as you walk through three floors of gallery spaces, at the speed you like. ROM After Dark

When the lights go down, the Museum comes alive. ROM After Dark (RAD) is a one-of-a-kind 19+ nighttime celebration packed with live music, multiple dance floors, exciting performances, and mind-blowing visual art. Each themed event transforms ROM into a whole new experience with live DJ sets, interactive workshops, and unexpected moments waiting around every corner. No two RADs are ever the same!

Third Tuesday Nights Free

The Museum will be free—for everyone—on the third Tuesday Night of each month. Includes access to most galleries* Admission Policy: Tickets are required—walk-ins are not available. To book, click the 'Book Tickets' button at the top of this webpage. Then, select the 3rd Tuesday of the month on the calendar, and check the box for “3rd Tuesday Nights Free.” Note: Tickets are released 2 weeks prior to the event. To expedite entry, both the Queen's Park and School entrances will be open.

Earth Rangers Studio
Located in the Life in Crisis: Schad Gallery of Biodiversity on Level 2, Earth Rangers Studio (ERS) is open most weekends from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Stop by during your ROM visit and, if the Studio doors are open, come in and join us! Learn more about the natural world that we live in and share with other species. Through fun and engaging interactive experiences, our Gallery Engagement team helps learners of all ages to take a closer look at topics such as biodiversity, bird migration, coral reefs, and more. Guild of Immortals
The Guild of Immortals welcomes young ROM Members into its ranks. If you are curious about the world, join us as we explore the Museum from top to bottom in search of answers. When you register, you will receive a handbook filled with fun activities and interesting facts. Seekers who complete their handbook will receive a Guild of Immortals seal and a special glow-in-the-dark enamel pin to commemorate their accomplishment.

Hack the ROM
Applications are open Apply Now Hack the ROM engages Grades 4-10 Indigenous students and their peers throughout Northern and Southern Ontario. Presented in partnership with celebrated game studio Ubisoft Toronto, this cohort-based sessional program builds students’ digital literacy skills through the development of digital media projects inspired by the Indigenous Ancestors at ROM. Participating classes regularly engage with staff and resources at ROM throughout this five-month program. ROM Indigenous Museum Educators (IMEs) use the Indigenous Ancestors and cultural belongings housed in the

ROM Makerspace
Makerspace is a principal learning hub for Ontario schools, connecting the collections with digital technologies and arts-based processes. Makerspace supports students in building personal and exploratory connections to the collections by encouraging innovation, collaboration, creativity, and inclusivity. Using digital literacy, STEM knowledge, CAD software, and robotics allows Makerspace to flourish as a vital resource for Ontario schools.

Bring your child on an eight-week sensory adventure as you tour galleries with our early learning instructors, and join them in creative play-based activities, and social interaction in a classroom setting. This Saturday version of our popular Summer Club program provides supervised, hands-on educational activities, art projects, science experiments, and more. ROM's fascinating galleries, authentic objects and outstanding professional staff guarantee that your camp experience will be hard to beat! Every fall, winter and spring children will enjoy eight Saturdays of fun-filled, educational adventures in ROM's inspiring galleries.
