Engage with a variety of galleries to learn about some of the most iconic objects from around the world and throughout time.
How can examining Museum collections deepen our understanding of the world and our place within it?
Objects housed at ROM come from every continent on this planet, and range in age from very new to over 4.5 billion years old!
There’s no way to see everything in just one day, but with the guidance of a Museum Educator, students will encounter some of the ROM’s most captivating objects and engage with inspiring stories
With the flexibility to follow students’ curiosity, this lesson creates opportunities for unexpected encounters, meaningful learning, and memorable museum experiences.
Highlights may include objects relating to the natural wonders of our planet, as well as the art and cultures of people living here and abroad, both in the past and present. While in the galleries, students may have a chance to engage in hands-on learning with real objects, specimens, and belongings from the collections.

We also understand the value of learning from the real thing whenever possible, not relying exclusively on models and copies. Even in gallery lessons, Educators take every opportunity to let your students engage in hands-on learning with something real that has its own history and stories to tell.
