About this lesson

Explore ties between astronomy and culture, learn how astronomy helps us better know the Earth, and marvel in the night sky.

Book now

Astronomy is often called the oldest science. Many cultures around the world have had deep connections with the night sky for various reasons since time immemorial, and those connections continue into the present day.

Through a gallery visit using 360 photography, looking up close at real meteorites, and blasting off into space in the virtual planetarium, we will investigate some of those ties, learn how modern astronomy helps us know Earth and its inhabitants better, and marvel at the wonders of the solar system and what we can observe in the night sky!
