Group of people on University Avenue on a ROMWalk

ROMWalks

Discover Toronto with ROMWalks, a collection of guided walking tours that take participants on a unique journey of urban discovery.

Offered each year from May to October, rain or shine, each walk combines the excitement of exploring diverse and vibrant neighbourhoods with the expertise of knowledgeable guides and the adventure of learning. There are many neighbourhoods to explore, each with its own story to tell. Stories that speak to history, people, architecture, arts, and much more.

Free, Plus, and Private Group ROMWalks are available to the general public. Member Exclusive ROMWalks are also available to ROM Members.

ROMWalks are free and require no registration. Simply turn up at a walk’s starting point and look for the ROMWalks umbrella. Free walks are scheduled on Sundays at 2pm and Wednesdays at 6pm.

ROMWalks Plus are small sized group walks designed to introduce newly developed itineraries. Offered on select Sundays at 2pm, the cost is $10 per person and pre-registration is required.

Private Group ROMWalks are perfect for clubs, corporate and community groups, out-of-town visitors, or large gatherings of friends and family. These walks can be scheduled for any available day and time. Cost is $10 per person with a group minimum of $100.

Member Exclusive ROMWalks are free to ROM Members, require registration, and are scheduled on Saturdays. Members are notified by email about upcoming Member Exclusive walk dates and registration details.

About ROMWalks

Organized by ROM’s Department of Museum Volunteers, ROMWalks started in 1980 as an outreach program for the Museum when it was closed for renovations. The program has grown over the years, with dozens of walk itineraries, six months of regularly scheduled free walks, and a growing number of extremely satisfied ROMWalks walkers.
