ROM Celebration 2025

On May 22, 2025, more than 400 supporters and friends came together for ROM Celebration, an annual soirée celebrating the generosity and commitment of the Museum’s community.

Since its inaugural event in 1985, this cherished tradition recognizes the extraordinary contributions of the dedicated supporters who make ROM’s exhibitions, collections, research, public programming, and transformational initiatives possible.

ROM was delighted to welcome the Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. She spoke about ROM’s vital role in sharing art, culture, and nature with people across the province and beyond.

Lieutenant Governor’s Distinguished Service Award 

Her Honour also presented the Lieutenant Governor’s Distinguished Service award—the highest honour that can be bestowed on a ROM volunteer—to two members of our community. 

Isabel’s connection to ROM began during her childhood and has since grown into a deep, lasting commitment. Alongside her family, she has made a transformative impact on the Museum—establishing an endowed curatorship of North American Archaeology and supporting a dedicated Repatriation Technician position.

Isabel is a member of the ROM Board of Governors and her leadership has extended to the Board’s Audit & Finance Committee, as well as to the ROM Ball, where she played a key role in two memorable and impactful galas. Thank you, Isabel!

Patricia is an exceptional leader, connector, and advocate who has supported ROM for nearly 30 years. Since joining the Board of Governors in 2016, she has brought her deep expertise, generous spirit, and tireless energy to a wide range of roles—from Vice-Chair of the Board to Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee.

Patricia has been instrumental in broadening ROM’s community of supporters, engaging leaders from the business and mining sectors, and playing a key role in the success of two ROM Balls. Thank you, Patricia!

The Donor of Merit Award recognizes donors whose inspired generosity has significantly advanced ROM’s mission. This year, we were pleased to recognize yet another chapter in the longstanding generosity of the Temerty Foundation. Their transformational $30 million gift will help us build a more open and inclusive ROM through the Temerty Community Access and Engagement Fund.
