ROM Celebration 2026

On June 9, 2026, we were delighted to welcome close to 400 supporters and friends to ROM Celebration, an annual soirée honouring the community and contributions behind the Museum’s impact. Thank you to everyone who came out to recognize the champions of ROM’s mission.

Adding to the momentum of the evening, the Honourable Stan Cho, Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Gaming, joined the celebration. His remarks underscored ROM’s impact in sharing art, culture, and nature with people across the province and beyond.

This year, we were delighted to present the Lieutenant Governor’s Distinguished Service Award—the highest honour that can be bestowed on a ROM volunteer—to Philip Y. T. Cheong. 

For more than 35 years, Philip has been a warm and steady presence at ROM, welcoming visitors, shaping volunteer programs, and championing the Museum’s collections. He has served on the Bishop White Committee, the Currelly Legacy Society Committee, and as a key member of the Friends of Textiles and Costume. 

We are deeply grateful for his commitment and generosity. Thank you, Philip!
