About
Celebrate the Aga Khan Museum’s 10th anniversary with a day filled with art, culture, and connection. See two stunning new exhibitions: Your Way Begins on the Other Side, a breathtaking six-metre tapestry by renowned Pakistani artist Aisha Khalid, created with over a million gold-plated pins layered in silk and velvet; and Cosmic Diagrams by Kour Pour, a mesmerizing fusion of Persian carpets, mandalas, and zodiac charts that explores how cultures around the world have envisioned the cosmos.
Our visit also includes a guided tour of the museum’s acclaimed collection – a collection that offers fresh and engaging insight into Islamic civilizations and cultural stories. At the neighbouring Ismaili Centre, we’ll learn about the values of this remarkable community—knowledge, pluralism, and service—followed by a globally inspired lunch at the museum’s celebrated restaurant, Diwan. We’ll finish the day with a peaceful stroll through the Aga Khan’s beautifully landscaped park, where we’ll encounter #hopeandhealingcanada, a vibrant red yarn installation by artist Tracey-Mae Chambers, woven with messages of connection and reconciliation.
