Known for his unconventional three-dimensional mixed media sculptures, Hwati’s work examines significant objects – historically and culturally – and archives and repositions them in the present day.

Join newly appointed Curator of Global Africa Tandazani Dhlakama in conversation with Masimba Hwati as they talk about his practice, and the intersection of sound and resistance in his work.
