ROM was deeply saddened by the passing of Hyacinth Gloria Chen in January 2022. Ms. Chen was a truly incredible woman who left behind a tremendous legacy, both as successful businesswoman and a dedicated mother and grandmother who instilled the greatest values and principles in her family.
ROM was proud to name the Hyacinth Gloria Chen Crystal Court in her honour in 2007, thanks to visionary support from her son and ROM Governor Michael Lee-Chin. This uplifting, inspiring space is a reflection of Ms. Chen’s incredible presence and aptly represents the heart of the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal. Her legacy and spirit live on through the countless visitors who continue to enjoy its soaring beauty today and for many years to come.
