Requesting a donation from the Museum

ROM is an agency of the Government of Ontario and a charitable organization. However, ROM is committed to assisting the fundraising efforts of other charitable organizations and community groups wherever possible.

ROM Donations

Every month, ROM will award a limited number of complimentary visits for two guests (approximate value: $52.00).

Submitting a Request

All donation requests must include the following:

  1. Organization Name and Logo
  2. Contact Name
  3. Phone Number
  4. Event Date
  5. Brief Event Description
  6. Organization Charitable Number (if available)


Please submit your request via email: info@rom.on.ca with 'Donation Request’ as the subject along with the event date.

Terms and Conditions

Should your charitable organization or community group qualify for a donation, the following terms and conditions will apply:

  1. All donation requests must be received at least 1 month prior to the event date.
  2. Due to the large number of requests, ROM will only consider a limited number of donation requests received each month.
  3. Donations will be awarded on a first come first serve monthly basis.
  4. Donations are valid for a year, starting from the day of your event.
  5. Each charitable organization or community group may re-submit their request in subsequent months to re-qualify for a donation.
  6. Each charitable organization or community group will only be eligible to receive one donation per calendar year.
  7. Cash donations will not be provided.
  8. Fundraisers for personal gain will not be considered.
