Wildzone Workshops

Visitors interact with museum volunteers and various specimens

Come into the Earth Rangers’ Studio located within the Life in Crisis: Schad Gallery of Biodiversity and experience the variety of living things on our planet. Drop in to the workshop any time between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM to chat with our friendly staff and volunteers! Get your hands on a select collection of touchable specimens, such as feathers, bones, shells and more!

Themes may differ day to day. Our current offerings include:

  • Migration - explore the great variety of living things that embark on incredible journeys every year in the search for food, shelter, mates, and more!

  • Nature Misunderstood - explore touchable specimens from some of the most misunderstood cretures on our planet. From earwigs to bats to sharks, we'll take you on a wild adventure that will dispel many of the myths and misconceptions surrounding these fascinating animals.

A group of young visitors gather around a table with touchable natural history specimens

Please note: this program is only available in English.
