Wildzone Workshops

Visitors interact with museum volunteers and various specimens

Come into the Earth Rangers’ Studio in the Life in Crisis: Schad Gallery of Biodiversity and learn more about the variety of living things on our planet. Drop in to the workshop any time between 11 AM and 4 PM to have an opportunity to chat with our friendly and fun staff and volunteers, and get your hands on a select collection of specimens, including shells, feathers, bones and more!

Themes differ from day to day, but some of our current offerings include:

  • Migration - explore the great variety of living things that embark on incredible journeys every year in the search for food, shelter, mates, and more!
  • Invasive Speciesdiscover the impacts invasive species have on native wildlife, the environment and find out more about who the culprits are, how they spread, and how you can make a difference!
  • Planet Parasite - enter the amazing world of parasites, where bloodthirsty vampires, mind-controlled zombies and other bizarre creatures live among us...and inside us!

A group of young visitors gather around a table with touchable natural history specimens
