Head north with us for a day of Indigenous culture and First Light celebrations on this extraordinary trip into the history of Huronia. We’ll visit the Huronia Museum, a pre-European contact Huron/Wendat re-constructed village, for a tour that features a wigwam, lookout tower, and full-size longhouse to explore. After an inclusive buffet dinner, thousands of candlelit lanterns await us in the crisp, late autumn air as we visit Sainte Marie among the Hurons on the historic Wye River and the early evening First Light celebrations. Traditional Indigenous crafts, cultural live music, storytelling around the sacred fire, and so much more creates an inspirational trip to embrace the beginning of the holiday season.
Note: Children 10 to 16 years are welcome on this tour. Please wear warm, comfortable footwear as this itinerary involves walking and standing.
Please notify the Programs Department at 416.586.5797 at least three weeks in advance of the trip date of any special dietary needs or mobility issues.
ROMBus is organized by ROM's Department of Museum Volunteers (DMV) to provide support for the Museum.
