Afro-Canadian singer/songwriter Pierre Kwenders' music is a response to a world that so often asks people who sit comfortably in multiple boxes to pick only one. While Pierre's music ranges from icy R7B to futuristic hip-hop, his style is rooted in Congolese rhumba, the ubiquitous sound of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

THE QUEEN IN ME - Teiya Kasahara & David Eliakis
Teiya Kasahara - a biracial, masculine non-binary female artist - explores the constraints of conventional opera roles and their reliance on gender and sex stereotypes, and explodes traditional expectations of demure muses and femme fatales by turning opera on its head. Combining Mozart’s the Queen of the Night with original text and classical opera, THE QUEEN IN ME serves as a critique of the opera industry and a reimagining of what it could be. Created and performed by Teiya Kasahara, and directed by Andrea Donaldson. Presented by Amplified Opera and Theatre Gargantua.
An evolution of Toronto-based Ethiopian/Eritrean singer/songwriter Ayo Leilani, who creates a soundscape of vocal layers, loops, and harmonies on a bed of hip hop, jazz, and soul-inspired beats. She has shared the stage with and opened for acts like TheeSatisfaction, Shabazz Palaces, Lido Pimienta, SAMMUS, The Cliks, and more!
Classical singers Jacques Arsenault from Charlottetown, PEI and Marjorie Maltais from Charlesvoix, QC join their beautiful voices together as French Squeeze, presenting their original arrangements by Jacques on accordion. This delightful duo will share their favourite French songs from Champs-Elysees to the shores of St. Laurent.
