Spiders: Fear & Fascination

The Darcys
An alternative pop duo from Toronto that combines the anthemic songwriting of The Killers and Arctic Monkeys with the dance-floor-ready fun of Chromeo and Justice. Always the life of the party, The Darcys' music is lush with vibrant synths, 808s, and funk bass that makes their sound feel as at home in today's modern pop landscape as it would in a crate of classic vinyl.

Nana Zen
Nana Zen’s mixing of early underground Hip Hop with curated RnB sounds definitely make her a standout. While staying true to her roots, Nana Zen is never afraid to mix good classics with new wave sounds. Her music choices are truly a reflection of the diverse crowd gathered to witness her magic. She creates a particularly soothing atmosphere with unique live mixes featuring modern elements, while staying true to the alternative hip-hop subculture and deeply rooted in her Caribbean background.

Goodnight, Sunrise
An indie-rock-and-roll-super-fun-dance-party band from Toronto. Founded in 2011 through a shared love of pop hooks, EDM drops, and the raw power of classic rock, their sound has naturally evolved into a hybrid reminiscent of CHVRCHES, Muse, and July Talk. Armed with an abundance of relentless energy, they’ve taken their explosive live show to over 250 audiences across Canada and Europe.

Dre Ngozi
A nomad spirit, with roots scattered wide like sound waves, Dre Ngozi has always been moved by the music of this world. With multiple influences including hip-hop, soca, R&B, pop, and country (yes, country!), her work is fueled by a mash-up of sounds. Through fresh mixes, Dre takes the crowd on an unexpected journey, gliding through different sounds seamlessly. She knows music is her therapy and has the power to be this for every crowd she rocks with.

GURU bros.
Santosh Naidu and Tej Hunjan are Toronto’s foremost percussion duo. They are most recognizable as the “drummers” who accompany some of Toronto’s most respected DJs and performers. The GURU bros. have had successful solo careers as percussionists and producers, working with major acts like: The Tea Party, The Roots, and K-OS, not to mention a brief stint with the circus. They continue to bring their unique blend of global groove electronica to soundtracks, festivals, and dance floors all over the world.
