What you need to know before you visit

Museum Hours: Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 5:30 pm  

 

Admission to the Museum will be limited and time-ticketed; buy your tickets online to book a time slot for your visit

 

All visitors and staff are required to wear a face mask. Some exceptions apply

 

All visitors and staff must keep a safe distance of two meters from one another

 

We have increased rigorous cleaning throughout the Museum and high touch areas are cleaned frequently

If you feel ill, or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.

What to Expect at the Museum

  • For your safety, there are hand sanitizer stations throughout the Museum.
  • External food and drink (with the exception of water bottles) are not permitted inside the Museum; we cannot provide a lunchroom at this time and Druxy’s Café is temporarily closed.
  • Select galleries are subject to capacity or temporarily closed; please download a map before your visit.
  • Stairwells are marked as UP or DOWN to avoid close interactions.
  • Touchables and interactives have been temporarily modified or closed based on the Government of Ontario’s recent directives. Where possible, alternative interactive options have been implemented. We encourage visitors to engage with our special exhibitions at their own level of comfort and bring their own tablets and smartphone to read QR codes when available.
  • Limited seating is available.

*Masks and/or face coverings are required for visitors and staff, with the exception of:

  • Children under two years of age.
  • Persons with an underlying medical condition which inhibits the ability to wear a mask or face covering.
  • Persons who are unable to place or remove a mask or face covering without assistance.
  • Additional accommodations in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code will also be considered.

Please note that while the ROM continues to adhere to health and safety guidelines to keep you safe, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By being in public spaces like the ROM, you voluntarily assume the risks related to exposure.
