This position provides day-to-day operational systems support on the ticketing and membership databases such as BOS and Raiser's Edge 7. Your key focus includes membership processing, user support, and reporting. This job is responsible for data extraction for some member mailing lists, events, prospecting and planning. 

The Assistant Raiser's Edge Database Administrator reports to the Manager, Systems and Processing Membership in our Membership Department. This opportunity allows for an individual to shine using your database skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for ongoing processing of memberships and donations to ROM through the following systems:

    • Raiser's Edge, 
    • Engaging Networks, 
    • OMNI, 
    • Constant Contact, 
    • Web and other third-party systems 
  • Support database coordinator with daily RE' plug-in' to bring memberships and donations from BOS or renewals that arrive in the mail.
  • Support Membership KPI Dashboard maintenance – ensure all updates are implemented and able to identify critical trends. 
  • Support the analysis of all system membership data and offer recommendations for segmentation and other opportunities to support all acquisition and renewal campaigns.
  • Extract general ticketing prospects to third-party telemarketing suppliers; pull data from online ticket sales and front desk for new telemarketing leads. 
  • Extract renewal data and transfer it to mail house to support ongoing renewal initiatives. Continuous extraction of leads to telemarketing in support of renewal and acquisition initiatives.
  • Support overflow of customer service requests/enquiries from VE staff in member calendar

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of three (3) years of post-secondary education and a minimum of five (5) years experience in database support or a related field, OR an acceptable equivalent in education and experience.
  • Proficient application database and word processing system end user, including report generation, data processing and extraction. 

Software Experience

Advanced knowledge of: 

    • Raiser's Edge 7/NXT
    • BOS systems  

 Desirable software experience

    • Excel 
    • VIVA BOS
    • MailChimp
    • IATS payment 
    • Crystal Report 
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and maintain attention to detail with high accuracy. 
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy with proven organizational skills
  • Liaison with Visitor Experience Team for all customer service inquiries. Handle member inquiries and disputes one-to-one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Practical training and presentation skills. 
  • French language skills would be considered an asset.
  • A basic understanding of Fundraising principles would be an asset.
