Did you know that South Rosedale is a Heritage Conservation District (HCD)? It is protected because its buildings are considered to be historically or culturally significant and require special care and attention to ensure that they are conserved. The application for the HCD designation was due, in part, to the loss of a number ofRosedalehomes to demolition or unsympathetic alterations.

Every building in South Rosedalehas been evaluated and given a rating.

Space has always been pretty important to me. In fact, my 3rd memory in LIFE is watching an episode of Star Trek The Original Series.

Kiron holds a rock from Mars!

I love the unknown of space, how everything is so distant, and special and new. From the Asteroid Belt, sorry little Pluto, space travel of the final frontier and Vulcan, I love space!

It’s an elite group of people that have walked on the moon, but this weekend you will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share the experience with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin (or at least the image of them – Neil is reflected in Buzz’s space helmet).  Space Weekend, May 5 – 6 only, is shaping up to be out of this world!

Earth Weekend is coming fast, and we couldn’t be more excited!  The interactive workshop with Barbara Reid will be amazing, but the Hands-on team from the Keenan Family Gallery of Hands-on Biodiversity is also preparing many more fun and interactive events for the second floor.

Five months of planning, three partners, one event.

Expectations were high for the WWF-Canada and ROM exhibit, presented by Loblaw Companies Limited, at the 2012 Green Living Show at the Direct Energy Centre, Toronto, April 13-15. “Canada’s Oceans and You” did not disappoint.
