ROM Members are invited to walk the footsteps of the world at the Bata Shoe Museum for FREE on Saturday, January 26, 2013. Simply present your ROM membership card at the front desk to gain free general admission to one of Toronto’s most unique cultural attractions on January 26.
Also, ROM Members are invited to attend a special lecture the next day on January 27, at the Bata Shoe Museum, by Dr. Alexandra Palmer, Nora E. Vaughan Senior Curator, Textiles and Costume, ROM for a special rate of half the usual ticket price.
Part of our Roger Vivier: Process to Perfection lecture series, Dr. Palmer’s talk The World of Dior will introduce the world of global licensing as it began with the House of Dior in the middle of the 20th century. Find out how Dior’s influence travelled from France to the world, from clothing to accessories, and learn how the elegant designs of Vivier figured into this enormous fashion empire.
