Perserverance of the Human Spirit Photography Display

This display tells the story of the perserverance of the spirit of the Polish Nation during its darkest days in World War II.

Warsaw 1945 -1956 –“Coming Back to Life”

Theatre Rotunda, Level B1

A photo exhibit from the Collection of the Museum of Warsaw ( Muzeum Historyczne Warszawy)  documenting the destruction and the rebuilding  the capital City in the period between 1945 -1956, and the lives of the people of  Warsaw in the years immediately following the end of the World War II. A touching documentary “Warsaw Will Not Forget”, about Warsaw’s very short period of freedom between the years 1918-1939 and total destruction during WWII will be shown along with the exhibit.

Film Screening: With Fire and Sword

With Fire and Sword” is a film about great passions - love, hate envy and lust for power shown against the backdrop of momentous historical events. In mid 17th century, at the start of the film’s action, Poland was the largest, most democratic, and most tolerant country in Europe. However, the tragic civil war brought about the gradual decline of the once glorious republic.
