Member Scenic Hike: Fossils of the Evergreen Brick Works Site

Join Dr. Kevin Seymour, ROM Assistant Curator in Vertebrate Palaeontology, in discovering ancient life in the exposed quarry cliff at the Evergreen Brick Works in the midst of Toronto.During this field trip, learn also about the geology and history of the Don Valley on this scenic hike through Moore Park Ravine.  The tour will begin with a brief introduction of the Evergreen Brick Works area and historical background. You will then be taken on a 300 m walk over to the quarry site on the North Slope.  The event is approximately an hour and half.

Tour starts promptly at 1:30 pm in the Brick Works parking lot.

Evergreen Brick Works is accessible by car or TTC. There is a shuttle service between Broadview subway station and Evergreen Brick Works. Map and directions.

For those of you who arrive early, there is a Farmer's Market on site as well as a restaurant.
