ROM For the Holidays Includes Extended Hours and Colourful Family Fun

Special activities from December 26, 2016 to January 8, 2017

At the centerpiece of the celebration is last chance to see popular CHIHULY exhibition

TORONTO, November 7, 2016 — The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) will offer a full schedule of ROM for the Holidays family programs for the festive season, including extended hours of operation and programming from December 26, 2016 to January 8, 2017. In addition, ROM for the Holidays is the last opportunity for visitors to experience the popular CHIHULY exhibition. ROM for the Holidays activities are free with General Admission.  

Highlights include:

  • Creative sculptures made by World Champion Balloon Artist “Jungle Jack
  • Close and personal encounters with wildlife and animal facts with Hands on Exotics
  • ROM experts demonstrate how fire and ice impacts our natural world
  • Explore a historical mystery with the Franklin Exploration exhibition
  • ROM Early Learner’s Lounge - a quiet space for families to play and rest
  • Our new Rotunda Coffee Bar in the ROM’s historic Queen’s Park Rotunda

Plus, be inspired by the mesmerizing CHIHULY exhibition, closing on January 8, 2017, and this year’s Wildlife of Photographer of the Year exhibition. Both CHIHULY and Wildlife Photographer of the Year are specially priced, time ticketed exhibitions.
