[PART 2] The Story
Developing an exhibition involves developing a story. Dr. Chen Shen, ROM Senior Curator, Bishop White Chair of East Asian Archaeology, describes the narrative of The Warrior Emperor; Dr. Dan Rahimi, Vice President Gallery Development, shares why the ROM felt this was an important story to bring to the ROM.

[PART 3] The Significance
The first emperor of China was a pivotal world leader. Dr. Chen Shen discusses what archaeologists know about the first emperor and how his influence continues to be felt today. Then take a virtual tour of the tomb complex in China and uncover some of the mysteries of this archaeological site

[PART 4] The Archaeological Pits
While in China, ROM staff spent a lot of time at the archaeological site of the terracotta army documenting the pits and artifacts for the exhibition.

[PART 5] Exhibition Preparation
In preparation for the exhibition, ROM staff travelled to China to capture photographs of the artifacts and archaeological sites, shoot video footage in the pits and interview individuals who can help tell the exhibition’s story. Back in Toronto,
staff prepared the exhibition space and wrote the exhibition’s textual content.

[PART 6] Reaching the Final Product
Up to the last minute, preparations for the exhibition continue as AV components were finalized, artifacts are packed, shipped and unpacked at the ROM, and final set-up is completed for opening day.
