Renaissance ROM

Renaissance ROM is one of the largest museum projects in the world and one of the most significant cultural projects in Canada. This transformational project has restored the ROM’s heritage buildings and galleries, has created a provocative landmark — the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal — and has sparked city-wide excitement in art, culture and the natural world.

Since its launch in 2002, the Renaissance ROM Campaign has raised over $270 million, making it the most successful cultural campaign in Canada.

Renaissance ROM has doubled the number of artifacts on display and has delivered eighty percent of its promised galleries. It is attracting delighted visitors from across Canada and around the world.

The resounding success of this project to date is thanks to the enormous generosity of ROM board members, donors, volunteers, and staff. The momentum generated by this growing community will see us through to our successful finale in 2009.
