Renaissance ROM
Renaissance ROM has created stunning new architecture with expansive galleries allowing the ROM to double the number of artifacts on display.
We are continuing to enhance the ROM's role in the sphere of natural science with the opening of the Teck Suite of Galleries: Earth's Treasures and the Schad Gallery of Biodiversity in 2009. In addition to these exciting new spaces, we look forward to the construction and installation of the following galleries:
With 300,000 square feet of new and renovated space, the Museum has liberated some wonderful and previously unseen collections. By the end of the project in 2010, we will have twice as many objects on public display than we had before. Beyond the expansive spaces and soaring galleries, the ROM is engaging the public with exceptional programming, engaging exhibitions, and stunning retail spaces. The quality of the visitor experience is reaching new heights.
As a forum for world cultures and an advocate for science in the understanding of nature, the ROM is fast becoming a cultural hub where visitors of all ages can take part in relevant programs that speak to our shared interest in culture and history, and our concern for the natural world.

“This is a place where the various communities of Toronto can feel at home.
In so many cases they can see their own culture reflected in the galleries
and the exhibitions while at the same time they can appreciate new cultures.”
Jim Temerty,
Chairman, ROM Board of Governors
