Gift of RRSP, RRIF or Pension Plan: Meg Beckel
The following is the story of a retirement gift made by former ROM employee Meg Beckel.
"As the former Chief Operating Officer of the Museum, I am intimately familiar with what is required to support an institution the size of the ROM. I believe strongly in the future of the Museum, and wish to support its needs long after I am physically able. When drafting my will, I realized that I have sufficient assets with which to look after loved ones, and decided to name the ROM as beneficiary on my pension plan. With this gift, I will still be able to benefit from the pension during my retirement, but upon death, the Museum will inherit the remainder."
